Launch of EasyGrid Lite (EGD-LT)

FISO Technologies Inc. (FISO), a leading manufacturer of high-quality Fiber-Optic sensors and signal conditioners, is proud to announce the launch of the EasyGrid Lite (EGD-LT), a new signal conditioner designed for temperature monitoring of smaller electricity transportation grid transformers.

The EGD-LT was designed to respond to the industry’s need for improved live loading efficiency and transformer life management. It complements the already highly successful EasyGrid, maintaining the EasyGrid’s principal features and ergonomics on a much smaller footprint.

Cost-effective and flexible, the EGD-LT will allow direct, accurate, and real-time temperature monitoring of power transformers, thus maximizing their performance. The EGD-LT is best-suited for smaller transformers, and performs simultaneous temperature measurements on up to 8 hot-spots. Moreover, it boasts a flexible design for maximum customisable options to match operation requirements of each client’s applications.

“With the launch of a third signal conditioner dedicated to the high-power transformer market in as many years, FISO clearly demonstrates its commitment to becoming the leader of hot-spot monitoring,” says Daniel Patry, FISO’s Sales Manager – Energy.  “We are particularly proud of the addition of the EasyGrid Lite, as it provides a tremendous advantage for our clients and complements FISO’s complete line of signal conditioners. FISO now manufactures Fiber-Optic temperature-monitoring solutions for every application in the high power transformer industry.” adds Mr. Patry.

Founded in 1994, FISO Technologies Inc. is a leading developer and manufacturer of Fiber-Optic sensors and signal conditioners. These high-precision measuring instruments are used for challenging and demanding applications in the medical, process control, energy, and defense markets. FISO sells hundreds of thousands of sensors and thousands of signal conditioners annually and meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certifications.
