Benefits of temperature measurement during ablation
During ablation, permanent damage of tissues occurs at 45-50˚C. When the ablation catheter has constant power, higher temperatures can be reached if excessive power is generated.

To prevent excessive RF power, it can be modulated by the temperature:

Benefits of a temperature measurement during ablation:
- Decreases the risks of tissue charring and steam pop (1)
- Prevents of internal lesion (2)
Fiso’s fiber optic temperature system is ideal for this type of measurement:
- Immune to electromagnetic interference like RF used in ablation, temperature measurements can be taken continuously
- Real time measurement will help control the power of the RF catheter precisely and accurately
- Small prob size makes it easy to integrate to RF catheters
- The multi point sensor can give an overview of temperature for different tissu
